The most successful component club head of all time. 2 World Long Drive Championships (384 & 345 yards). The first-ever South African Long Drive Challenge. And, a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records (2003).
The lower center of gravity from a slightly deeper than standard head design gives your club the solid feel that you desire while still affording you the most forgiving head in our lineup. The lack of scorelines on the face will make your playing partners stand up and take notice. This design is one of function, not fashion. Our goal is to make all of our heads play as close to the .830 USGA allowance, and that called for a very thin face. So thin, that if we were to score the face in a traditional manner, it would weaken the structure of the head and compromise structural integrity and our quality standards.
The 455 is a favorite of those looking for the most forgiveness in their club while still looking for a slightly higher than standard trajectory.

The 2002 World Long Drive Champion. The longest drive during the 2003 World Long Drive Championship week at 403 yards. No wonder this club has attained ‘cult’ status! The Nemesis is a favorite on the Nationwide Tour and in the golf bags of thousands of amateur players worldwide.
This head while extremely enjoyable to play is as forgiving as it is classical in shape. The mid center of gravity keeps the trajectory right at the state loft, and will really let the ball roll for you.
The lack of scorelines on the face is approved for all USGA play.
This head is a favorite for the person looking for classic good looks and more roll due to the slightly flatter trajectory.

The first of the SMT line to be patented (in China), this 430cc, 100% titanium club hits more solid and longer than its size would indicate. Bigger isn't always better.
Designed with many of the same features as the Babylon, the patented crown design of the Indio stands out from the crowd. The revolutionary cross-hatch crown has been forged with weight reduction and rigidity in mind. The bottom of the crown has been forged with a different, tear drop design which also reduces weight and increases rigidity to strengthen the crown. The result: a blend of technology and functionality that delivers a crown that is lighter but will withstand the violent effects of ball and club impact better than traditional manufacturing techniques.
So, what did we do to counter the weight that we removed from the crown? We cut deep angular fins to add more product area to a sole of similar size. We were able to add weight in all of the 'right' places without welding weight chips onto the inside of the soleplate or through the addition of copper weight or screw systems.
The Indio gives you more weight where you need it—and less where you don't—and a solid feel and sound that let's you know you're hitting SMT.
SMT's first step into the fairway wood market had to be a bold one.
After reviewing the high speed photographs from the testing phase of the smooth face heads, we found a series of images that had, what looked to be some kind of smoke at both ends of the face.
After quite a bit of study, it turns out that I was looking at the ‘water test’ images. I alternately sprayed the ball and the face to simulate the many conditions that a golfer could face on the course. It turns out that the ‘smoke’ that I saw was water leaving the face…high in th toe area, and low in the heel area.
So, I simply put the only two scorelines that this head has, on the same angle that the water wanted to use to leave the face in the high speed pictures, to aid the natural tendencies of the clubhead in removing debris and water from destroying the otherwise perfect shot.
The Solitaire brings with it a very unique bi-level toe and heel design to promote optimal trajectory. The finest maraging Kobe Steel and midsize body affords you the confidence to attack the ball from any lie.
